Group Health Bike to Work Month (May, 2009)!

2009 Team Training Kick-Off!

After taking a year (2008) off (except for Brian!) to rest, relax, and recharge, the 3-in-1 team is BACK, stronger than ever, and ready to set out together on another GREAT year of training, racing, fun, and most importantly, fellowship together! :-) Interested in joining us in 2009? Jeff & Brian both FINISH 2007 Hulaman 1/2 Ironman!
It was a long, long race, but we did it!
After a lot of concern in the 24 hours before the race (due to the pouring rain), everything turned out OK. The weather cleared up (except for a slight rain for the first 10 miles of the bike or so) and was PERFECT for a longer race (mostly cloudy with highs in the 60s).
Jeff was THRILLED to be 4th overall out of T1 (after the swim), to have a solid 56 mile bike (@ an 18.5 mph average), and then to have survived the 13.1 mile run (@ a 9:15 per mile average) to finish in 5:34:49 and 26th place overall. :-)
After an AMAZING effort (despite not having water for 30 miles, etc.!), Brian was very pleased to finish the race and to join the \"1/2 Ironman finisher\'s club\"! :-) Great job Brian! What a TREMENDOUS effort/achievement!!!
Antons team wins Tour de Redmond awards (2007)!
Anton's company’s (Concur) bicycle commuting team took the Tour de Redmond Trophy (first place award) for Most Miles, Highest Employee Participation, and Most Days Commuted in the Tour de Redmond for companies between 100 and 500 employees. Their team had 19 members and a total of 6229 miles and 300 commutes. Five of the team members made it to the awards rally. See the photo in our 2007 photos!
Federal Escape Triathlon (Olympic distance) Results!
Brian & Jeff finish their 2nd 2007 tri!
The weather was great and the course was fun-- it was a great day for racing! Now while the swim MAY have been long, and the cycle and run MAY have both been short, who knows. Both Jeff & Brian were very pleased with their times. Now it's on to Hulaman in 3 weeks for our first 1/2 Ironman!

Blue Lake Triathlon (Olympic distance!) Race Results!
Our first triathlon of 2007 is "in the books"!
Despite the driving rain and clouds the day before, Sunday, June 10th was a nice morning in Fairview, OR. As a Regional Championship race (and an official qualifier for the National Age Group Championships!), this was a FAST race. That being said, it was a lot of fun as it was extremely well organized, the course was very nice, and we had a great time!

~1,000 miles in one month!
Sporting a team of FIVE riders (Jeff, Dave, Anton, Brian, and Todd), our 3 in 1 team managed to log almost 1,000 miles in riding to/from work in May, 2007! Great job team! :-)
